Last night was my first night hanging around her in a sober "controlled" enviroment. A friendly enviroment... It fucking sucked.
I'll never look at her and not be reminded of how incredible I think she is. I'll never see my phone light up with her numbers and not get all tingly. I'll never look at her and just not melt.
She asked if I could "just get over her so we can go on being friends." Who the fuck says that? For example, if/when your father dies/died, say his tombstone was very beautiful. Would you carry around a photograph of said tombstone to remind you of how pretty it was? It's just too much to deal with.
In turn, I don't want to turn my back and just walk away. I'm pretty good at doing that, but I don't want to give up. I know I have to though.
Postmodern thought of the day reinforced via the clerk at the liquor store. Words are meaningless. If we have to navigate through this life using labels, then here is the label I will use. Nothing. Absence. Fin....

i've actually worked at this textbook store for nine years, on and off. it's definitely not the same deal as trade books . . .
