I agree with you 100%. I am the only black girl in a group of friends and I don't mind being identified as so, if someone doesn't know my name and I'm being pointed out that's fine. It's not like you intorduce him as "This is my black friend Eric." Besides in a room full of hipsters god forbid Eric was wearing a black shirt. Could you imagine trying to point him out then?
