Another vegetative weekend. Lack of desire, but a strong need to mow the orchard before winter. The cats are absolutely no help on the motivation side, "just take a nap, follow your instincts". Still looking for obscure and out-of-print music. COIL was easy compared to other old British experimentals. Probably mow tomorrow while the neighbors are trying to take a nap. Cats don't care, they'll...

A day off for just peace and solitude. Just me and the cats. Dark skies but no rain. Starting to feel cool mornings and the green is slowing. Looking forward to winter, not for the cold, which I hate, but for prunning the new grapes. The vines don't seem to miss France all that much, allot of growth for their first year. East Tennessee apparently has...

Several decades ago, nearly all of the grapes in France got a bad case of root rot and and nearly all died off. Well of course they couldn't go to their European neighbors and borrow some healthy grafted root stock, since they raised so much hell about the other Euros importing cheap wine into France and diluting the prices. The plants were the same anyway...

Rain all week, too wet outside to be hoticulturistic. Eat a few figs off the tree between rain storms, Figs are the only true organic fruit. Bugs hate'em so they don't need any bugspray. So to be really sure, just eat dried figs all winter. Tomorrows lesson: Why French wine is really California & NY wine. And Chardanney is really Budapest. Life is tricky, especially when...

Been diligently scouring the Universe for Coil musik. Much harder than finding Alfa parts in Hillbilly Heaven. Very dark and peaceful at the same time. I think I hav'em all, but there is allot of overlap in their releases. Anybody need a burn, let me know. I can do full wave or MP3. They always sound better when they're ill gotten.

Apparently I made the right decision to go grapes. The USDA has been trying to convince East Tennessee to start vinyards for years to replace the tobacco allotment that they took away. You see, good or bad, you have to have the Fed's permission to grow tobacco. You can't just plant, grow and sell. And if you have a good year, you have to sell...

Everything here is growing like a jungle. This really has become a temperate rainforest. I fear Pol Pot and his Kamir Rouge has moved into my back yard. Everytime I go outside I hear a faint voice saying today isa good day to die yankee dog. I guess I'll just have to mow more often to end the flashbacks. I haven't seen any bengal tigers...

Run from the air-conditioned house and get in the air-conditioned car. I'm thinking about building a lighthouse in the front yard, with global warming going the way it is, I expect to be living on costal beach here in Tennesee eventually. I'm going to have a nude beach, I don't like to think( use my imagination) when I'm on the beach. I think George Bernard...

Rain-Hot-Rain-Hot all summer I guess. My grapevines don't even realize they're not living in the South of France anymore. If you squint you can even imagine Cherokee Lake(TVA) is the Med. Can't say as i've ever seen the Onassis yacht go by yet tho. Too hot to work ouside so I'll probably just stay in the AC spaces and surf.
So much for farming this weekend, only rain. The grapes like it, but it only makes me muddy. I'll be forced to be intellectual and read and research. Starting to think about working on alternate fuels. Just something to keep my car going in case the world creates another fantasy fuel shortage. I really like fantasy, but not we it involves walking allot. A wine...
