Off to Detroit next week to babysit adults. Its very hard for me understand this need in a very large global corporation. Need to make money for the board tho. They've carried off another $20M this year already in self awarded stock options. Must be nice to just write yourself an $8M check and go to lunch. Probably not KFC or McDs.

I think I'm bitter about the career criminals that are now running the company. The adults that need babysitting are the result of a chronic union occupation over many years that would not allow anyone to be self-sufficient. Now they're on their own and don't know how to get things done without layers of support that do not exist anymore.

thanks for all the nice comments on my set, I'm a proscratinator of sorts so I apologize for not thanking you earlier
The urge to draw me into the D trap has lessened somewhat. I now have 4 local projects to make old machines new in TN. The best thing is these projects will make me more valuable to the Company in TN rather than MI. This should create a longer term job here in TN. Eventually all jobs of any import will move to China. Even...

"exquisite boosie" is my favorite set comment thus far. Thank you!!

Exactly. But working in the nonprofit sector is no picnic either; I help all those that the corporate theives have ruined, and there are a lot.
Things are looking positive for staying in TN. I have allot of local advocates pulling for me where I am working now. Nothing has solidified yet but I remain optimistic, tho not knowing anything definite tends to be an emotional roller coaster ride.
Madam and I have decided that no matter what happens. Son and mom will remain in TN and not suffer the exile...

ahh that pic is quite stunning!! & thanks for your lovely comments on my set.....
Was in Detroit working all last week. Don't think its my idea of Nirvana. More like Purgatory. The ideal plan is to stay in TN, several job possibilities. My war with the robber barrons will not allow me to leave before June and let them steal $80K from my retirement plan. The thieves will have to think of something else, I ain't leavin" yet. Finally...

thank you for your beautiful words! i'm a pirate queen!
Local unsolicited job offer has me thinking about whether to go to D or not. If I buy a house in D I'm stuck with it forever. Im probably the only of 5 moving in instead of out. Rent is obcene 'cause they know people aren't buyin'. House here is paid for. Taxes are 10 times what I'm payin' in TN. No income tax here....

Good luck on your upcoming housing and job decsion. Hope everything turns out fine for you.
Well the brave northward bound souls are thinning out. We're down to 5 out of 22 now. Which is a good thing I guess. I've always felt that you can't be a proper engineer unless you have a little imagination and a taste for high risk. The problem U.S. industry has now is that everybody wants to design something as long as someone else is...

I love your fantasy description..
And I also love spiritual people. Doesn't matter what the base is there, just that they have this passion for life and love.

WelI I checked with Madam LaPlace, can't chase women as a marathon training device. She says they slow down too much at about 15 miles. I didn't argue with her 'cause you know how Cajun women with guns are. Having a hard time finding an apartment for her piano too. We may have to make a choice between a couch or live music. I haven't...

Too bad, I can't think of a better marathon training technique! Maybe they could switch off, relay fashion?

Starting to build some serious plans for the move to Detroit. Probably going to live near Stoney Creek for about a year to have a chance to look around and be able to walk or bike to work. Looking forward to be able to get back to some serious running again. I really want to qualify for Boston some day and will start out by...

Thanks for your comment on my last set!
I guess everyone is glad the election is over. Too many old farts are still there tho, and the new ones don't look like much either. Did you ever wonder about A guy talking to you in a radio or TV ad saying that "I approved this message"? Who normally approves his messages? now that he is elected, will the other un-named guy go back...

so i just made friends with a republican. it's not the first time. the last one smokes more weed than.... well, for the leader of the local republican party, she smokes a lot of kind and she's very kind about it. i used to be a libertarian - until bush. i'm for state's rights and the nra and personal liberty etc. basically - there are too many laws. i grew up near philly and spent a couple of years in tucson - i like less laws. seems so simple, no? and this war.... well, i disagree that we should be there, but now that we are, we really must do something about it. and afghanistan! what in hell is going on there? did we forget that the objective was osama??? why are we not focused on him and his training camps? or are we and it's just a big secret? ;o) a very big secret. victoria's secret. i used to work there. it would have to be at least a DDD secret and they don't sell bras that big. so no victoria in that secret. aye, often i make little to no sense. it makes reality more bearable - if indeed there is a reality to be called upon. anyway, i thought i'd say hello and offer you a few words by way of introduction - but they seem to be more opinionated than i intended. how about this: i look forward to getting to know you, getting to know all about you.

Brand X is always the way to go, Better price, less advertising and they pass the savings onto the consumer or so they say . I too am happy there are no more annoying "elect me" ads, though the signs will be littering yards for a bit longer I imagine.
