Actually starting to cool of earlier now so I don't have to run at 10:00 o'clock at night. Moved clear up to 9:30 now.
Speed is going well, holding well below a 6.5 minute mile.

Put a subwoofer in my old Honda and blew up the amplifier in less than an hour. Sting was too loud I guess. So now I have a one sided...

SG seems to be going thru a moment of silence, did I miss something? Did everybody run out and invest in French wine, and my first harvest of Chardonnay made the market nervous? Cheer up, the market will be back, Detroit will be back, the Mets will win the Pendant again. All impossible things happen again and again. Old age has taught me that Karma...

Proof again that running thru a cemetery alone in the dark makes one run faster. 4 miles in under 25 minutes. For 50 years people have been telling me that I shouldn't run it will wreck your knees. I think the knee myth is a creation of the "oh I can't run, so no one should" demographic. If you have bad knees, you have bad...

Yep, I'm 37, have been running for ~17 years, and have never had a problem with my knees. Now my plantar fascia and achilles tendons, that's another story! But never my knees. So I completely agree.

Also, I once lived in a town that had a 5K around halloween that went through a cemetery. It was cool.

Exceptionally fast run tonight. I am rapidly approaching the sustained 6 minute mile I've been working toward. My 14 year old is starting to worry a little bit more 'cause I'm catching up.This afternoon we found out that he can do 3 chin-ups but I can now do 10. about an hour later I saw him working out on the gym pull-down bar.

Went for...

Trip to D didn't materialize, so Taking tomorrow off to travel locally with Madam LaPlace. May even be sociopathic and ride the Harley again on an expired tag[just a hardened criminal I guess]. Harleys do make you do stupid things, including ride them around F.. Blind assed drivers. Still rubbing off the 12 years of dormancy.

Well dear Henry[Ford] has finally decided to build my...

Harley rubbing continues, along with running and working out on the gym, now my fingers are sore as well. 12 years is a long time to collect dust, dirt, and tarnish. If I knew my little baby was suffereing so badly, i wouldn't have waited so long. I think the snow will fly before said Harley will be presentable to Royal Oak. It may be...

Well, worked all day, jumping up and down on the kickstarter 'til my leg got numb. But after open carburetor surgery, Godzirra lives. Once I got all the green slimey stuff from 12 years of storage cleaned out, the beast lit up and ran as smooth as silk. This is purely old school 1973 Harley. No mufflers[they cost extra and in my younger days quiet...

Another good run tonight. Had to run by myself tonight, no takers for a little friendly competition. Just me, the track, a cemetery, and the ghosts of all the bad Karma I ever put out. Does make one run faster tho. bok The only thing that makes you run faster than a cemetery at night is encountering a friendly skunk in said cemetery. They're not very...

Ahhh I haven't comment on anything for you in a while. Seems like you're still in the better shape than me!

I've never bumped into a skunk, but thats probably a good thing right? ;D

I started running again last week. I only ran twice, but I'm trying to work up the stamina quickly so that I can run longer, and more often. It's funny how something so exausting, energizes you for the rest of the day(I go in the mornings, after my kids get on the schoolbus.). It seems to set the pace. smile I haven't ran into any 'pe pe la pus' yet, but I did see a small doe Tuesday. She just stood there and looked at me as I approached...I'm sure she was suprised to see a human coming at her full force...without a car. biggrin

May we now have a moment of silence for the two Merlots that perished in the drought. Your family will miss you, but your brothers and sisters will carry on. We toast you for fighting the good fight. frown

Good late night run tonight. Didn't pass the 14 year old this time, but I made him earn the win. A little rainier and a little cooler this week. I can now make it rain at will just by running 1000 gallons of water thru the vineyard sprinklers. just turn 'em on, the clouds move in and take over. I'm now trying to figure out...
