Been in Nashville for 2 weeks and it rained hard the whole time, thus no running. I did run tonight and it felt great to get back at it. There is no doubt that running is a drug and I am addicted again after twenty years of total withdrawal. But I'm back to stay. Maybe some day I'll be that eighty year old man that...

Awww thats awesome, you're still addicted to running (which is a good addiction I might add) & its totally healthy. I need some of your dedication & strive. I went out for a power-walk & I have to say, I enjoyed myself. Even getting lost in philadelphia it was fun to go up to random people asking what was where smile

I gotta keep up with my comments on blogsss. Good to hear from ya! biggrin

Long time, no hear - Good to see you're still alive and better than just kickin' ! wink

Great run last night.my 10K time is sub 40 now and continually improving. Going to stay at 10K distance 'til after the new year and see if I can get my time below 35 minutes. That should give me enough encoyuragement to try another marathon next year.

The mustang is due in next week and I thought I'd be excited, but it's taken so long...

She might not be a quarter of a horse, but she can run a quarter of a mile faster than a thoroughbred. I bet she makes better sand art than a neurotic thoroughbred, too. wink

That's an easy promise for me to make . . . how 'bout for you?? wink

Sitting here watching the sprinklers water the grapevines, very exciting afternoon. I would go for a ride on the Harley, but the police have been rather thick lately and with the 1996 license plate and all ... blush The stand-up scooter with it's screamin' 40 Klick speed will have to do for now. Still collecting bits for the outlaw chopper. Since there is no annual vehicle...

Ah mister mister, my thoughts are with you.
I tell my mother of the candles and she smiles. She is doing better and better ... and her consultation/cat scans and whatnot come up this week.
Keep that one burning.

Back from the lights of Paris. A place that is very hard to leave. I must have walked 100 Km in 3 days there not counting the 15 Km per day running binges and the random Metro rides to wherever the urge dragged me. It has been called "a moving feast", and I never realized how true it was, is and will be. Every corner...

Waow, you called me goddess

biggrin

Thanks

Your comment on my set was lovely

MUAH!!
deedee:
And by the way

There is a local state hospital here where the only way you can tell who works there and who lives there, is that some go home at night. I really do think mental hospitals true role is protecting the normal people inside from the crazy people running loose in the streets.

This was a great explanation of what I want to mean with my set

You rule

MUAH!!

Still hot and dry for my little French wine berries, but they have done well for a bad year. They have made positive growth towards the goal of bottled nectar[still about 3 years out tho]. Going to Dijon next week on business, hoping to wander the vineyards south of Paris for the following weekend. Their production is done for this year, but I can see...

Getting really bored waiting for the Mustang. I dragged the old school Harley out of the barn last month after a 12 year snooze. The more I rub and shine on it[it is starting to look proper again] the more I realize the need to build an extreme motorcycle in the realm of metal art. Big fat Avon tire in the back; front tire so...

Sounds like and awesome hobby and a dream of mine - maybe some day - we have lovely vineyard land in Australia - I tried an organic red wine recently which has less of that nasty red wine preservative (if any) and I felt better for it. White wine does not excite me except a good NZ Sauvignon Blanc - I am always open to trying something new - Can you recommend any California ones?

Thanks for the comment ! smile

Pushed my running out to 8K this week. Didn't seem to hurt the speed any. Going about 6.5 Min. per mile. I should be up to 10K by the time I leave for Dijon[business for a week, then a weekend in Paris before returning]. I hope to talk to some vintners about pruning while there. The French are the masters of production and its all...

Well, its not bad enough that I can't beat my 14 year old on the 1600 metre track. Last night a 65 year old went by me and nearly blew my hair off. This one must have escaped from Mount Olympus. I was obvious he must have been a runner his whole life, but to still be turning sub 5 minute miles at 65 is...
