Running distance is beginning to progress well, I have finally found my second wind point, but its out around 2 miles now, when it used to be at about 1-1/4. Still there just farther down the road.

Hoping the Savignon Blancs get here soon. Good rain this year, I'm ready to see them take-off. Last summer was so painfully dry, that survival alone was the...

Two fast night runs in a row. biggrin Maybe I just need to run more often. Tonight there was a cold rain, thought it would slow me down, but it seemed to keep me cooler and faster. the extra 5 pounds of rain soaked up in my sweats didn't seem to hurt any.

The grapevines are growing like weeds, should have some good strong vines by...

A miracle, 2 precious Merlots I thought were gone are now sprouting back above the graft. Many things happen right when you think all is lost. I remain optimistic. wink

Another good run tonight. My distance and speed is continuing to progress.I've resigned to the fact that I am best as a solitary runner. I guess it gives me time to think and make deals with myself[just one more mile and you can have some keylime pie]. My next self inflicted deal is to work on my upper body strength some more. I have a...

Stop saying crap like 'i may be old'! Who does that serve??!! How about... well 'I am as young as I feel' makes me sneer... how about I will fo the best I can do, or I AM doing what I can do?
I am happy that you are taking aside time to care for your body, because when you love it, it loves you in return smile

I like to take my dogs running with me. That is, when they don't trip me and I fall on my face.

Did my nightly 7 miles in record time tonight, under 43 minutes. Maybe this old man can get back to marathon distance yet. Had to run by myself tonight, the 15 year old was at religious ed. He's a good example for me, I hope I'm half as good to him. Straight A student , Eagle Scout Candidate, JROTC officer. I barely made it thru...

Ran 11 miles everyday in Detroit. The air was heavy, but that's good training I guess. Saw most everyone near and dear there. Alas, the Euro speaking Beemer screamer was back in the homeland, so I wasn't amazed at how much a little girl can drink this time. Do not let her near your beer. Wine is safe tho.

Starting to get my Summer speed back, I beat my 15 year old pacer by 100 meters in a 5 K[13 x 400 laps,3.33 miles]. Its great having my son run with me 'cause he challenges me to push harder. I think he was just being kind to the old man, but his pace is very helpful.

Looking forward to going to D this week....

Productive weekend, trimmed many trees and bushes[some to the ground, figs will be back tho, they all froze down this Winter ]. Didn't lose any precious French grapes over the winter, all are budding and ready to grow, no grapes yet tho[another 3 to 5 years before the nectar flows]. Cherries, pears, and Japanese plums all blossomed without freezing, so much fruit this year, last...

Warm and semi-dry at last. Good for running, good for grapes, good for outdoors in general. Finally cabin fever is over. Now I can start working towards my 15 mile goal. I want to get back to my 10-15-10-15 mile week with weekends reserved for wine, food, grapevines, scary cars, non-activity, and general vegitation.
That reminds me I need to order somemore vines, Pinot Gris...

Well work work work. Probably won't be at the salt mines on Sunday at least. Sunday I will definitely be running my ass off, nothing like it for cleaning up any stagnant brain cells. May be getting back to D in late April. Hoping to see everybody that's anybody. You know who you are.
