Summer crashed all at once 90s one week 40s the nest. Haven't had any real snow here in 15 years, this may be it. Black walnuts everywhere, squirrels stole all the pecans, grapes were slim, tho they're still immature vines. Finally found some heirloom[non-hybrid] tomatoes[maders as they're locally called] that will reseed, second year and they're still really big. Building vineyard trellis seems like an endless task, working toward two tiers at 1 meter and 2 meters to increase the sun exposure. East Tennessee has great wine weather now, good rains and hot sun. Global warming, man made or natural, has been great for my grape vines.

The herb garden and veggie gardens were prolific this summer, hundreds of green peppers, which I could live on alone; Roma tomatoes for Madam, almost a bushel a month from just 4 plants. Just one hot banana pepper plant, it produced nearly a hundred burners itself. Planted Wasabi horse radish last spring, just 5 little pieces of root filled the whole corner of the herb garden. Wasabi is hell to prepare, it burns eyes, nose, hands, or anything you might choose to scratch[once]. Satanically intense but great for veggie dip or prime rib[ so I'm told, I'm a veggie myself now]. Very productive micro-farming this year, more vineyard next spring, a bout two more years 'til I try making some chardanay or Pinot Gris.

Getting into ideal running weather now, going back to morning AND evening runs, still 5 hour a week in the home gym. With the vineyard, garden, and yard work nearly gone, gonna have to add a few more miles and a few more pull-ups to the " I refuse to give up old fart routine".

Unrelated but anybody know where I can find some 8 gauge, 1/4 inch steel Labrets? Everybody has thin ones, but I can't find heavies.

Hoping the Universe and Karma is shining on you, Peace be widju.
