Sitting here watching the sprinklers water the grapevines, very exciting afternoon. I would go for a ride on the Harley, but the police have been rather thick lately and with the 1996 license plate and all ...
The stand-up scooter with it's screamin' 40 Klick speed will have to do for now. Still collecting bits for the outlaw chopper. Since there is no annual vehicle inspection in Tennessee, I can get away with pretty much anything and will probably try. Obnoxiously loud and sociopathic would be nice.
Color suggestions are welcome. Anything bright would be acceptable, I think. Pearlescent lime green was my original thought, but you decide. I'm concentrating on the functionals right now, still trying to decide on a smooth riding distance cruiser or an around town rough rider. I'm personally not much on distance riding, too many crazy people on the road trying to dial cell phones
to be safe for any long runs [as if this thing might be safe].
Looking forward to Paris again next month and then lots of time with both sides of the family over the holidays. PA for Thanksgiving and New Orleans over Christmas. Our niece's wedding in the French Quarter will be a welcome diversion this year. The city is finally coming back at least in the more traveled areas. The 9th Ward is still a very depressing area to wander, but I feel I need the reminder each time I visit. The fact that all of that money has been spent [read stolen] there and no progress can be seen bothers me as much as the lack of self help[There is ample blame to go around to all parties in that mess].
Enough gloom for now, my Pinots and Chardonnays are getting a nice shower courtesy of the well. The hotrod Mustang is due in in a couple of weeks and I must train my olfactory from the need for burnt rubber, at least 'till the 1st 1000 miles. Karma is good for me on a global scale. Life is good, by no means can I complain.

I tell my mother of the candles and she smiles. She is doing better and better ... and her consultation/cat scans and whatnot come up this week.
Keep that one burning.
