Today is a great day, they reopened my local 400 metre track. Repaved and rubberized, kindly to knees now, tho it never did any damage when it was asphalt. Now I can get back on my daily 10K routine without getting run over, roads just aren't safe since the advent of cell phones. I'm as guilty as the rest, tho I have a personal rule...

Actually looking forward to mowing the lawn, a sure sign of Summer. Got some of the herb garden planted, should be a full French/Italian country diversity when I get done. Im planting it in a big 25 foot circle with alternating spokes, with a big Rosemary forrest in the middle.

Felt great to get out in the warm sun and run a few miles. Even the cats found a warm spot in the driveway to exploit for a nap. Cats drive me crazy, they only eat and sleep, but they're solid muscle, complete athletes without effort. The black Burmese matriarch felt a need to eat wild meat, so she casually wanders to the back yard...

Felt great to get out in the warm sun and run a few miles. The cats form of outdoor exercise, a nap in the sun in the driveway was carried out precisely as well.
Still too cold in the morning to run without Michelin man clothes. The backwoods hillbilly forecasters here say there is to be one more BIG snow, they are usually right. The way things are going, I think my late night runs are still the best plan.

It's been a long Winter and the running has suffered greatly. Got to work my way back up to 10K, seems like 5K is abusive now if I push too hard. Old age is a terrible thing, hope I can put off falling apart for a few more years.
