Did my nightly 7 miles in record time tonight, under 43 minutes. Maybe this old man can get back to marathon distance yet. Had to run by myself tonight, the 15 year old was at religious ed. He's a good example for me, I hope I'm half as good to him. Straight A student , Eagle Scout Candidate, JROTC officer. I barely made it thru...

Ran 11 miles everyday in Detroit. The air was heavy, but that's good training I guess. Saw most everyone near and dear there. Alas, the Euro speaking Beemer screamer was back in the homeland, so I wasn't amazed at how much a little girl can drink this time. Do not let her near your beer. Wine is safe tho.

You ran eleven miles away from Detroit? Are you serious?
mssasha:
Cinco de Mayo for Spring/Summer semester.
Starting to get my Summer speed back, I beat my 15 year old pacer by 100 meters in a 5 K[13 x 400 laps,3.33 miles]. Its great having my son run with me 'cause he challenges me to push harder. I think he was just being kind to the old man, but his pace is very helpful.
Looking forward to going to D this week....

Productive weekend, trimmed many trees and bushes[some to the ground, figs will be back tho, they all froze down this Winter ]. Didn't lose any precious French grapes over the winter, all are budding and ready to grow, no grapes yet tho[another 3 to 5 years before the nectar flows]. Cherries, pears, and Japanese plums all blossomed without freezing, so much fruit this year, last...

Warm and semi-dry at last. Good for running, good for grapes, good for outdoors in general. Finally cabin fever is over. Now I can start working towards my 15 mile goal. I want to get back to my 10-15-10-15 mile week with weekends reserved for wine, food, grapevines, scary cars, non-activity, and general vegitation.
That reminds me I need to order somemore vines, Pinot Gris...

Well work work work. Probably won't be at the salt mines on Sunday at least. Sunday I will definitely be running my ass off, nothing like it for cleaning up any stagnant brain cells. May be getting back to D in late April. Hoping to see everybody that's anybody. You know who you are.

Thanks again for the webcam. I love it. I've spent many of a night in chat with it.

Hoping you're doing well!
Warm rain, the little wine berries are happy at last. They speak mostly French, but I hear an occasional hillbilly "dang" in there every now and then, must be picking it up from the soil. If the late killer frosts don't get the blossoms this year, the back yard will be a true Eden for fruit this year. I'm pretty much organic now, just too...

hello!!!
Felt great to get back out and run a few miles again, been way too long[ I hate ice in my mustache]. My son and I broke in a new course today. Before we ran a 400 meter oval for 25 laps, very boring stuff. The new path is rolling hills and winds thru the woods and past the local Astros[farm league] ballpark, much more...

Running, with legs?
I'm so unfit
Good on ya!
salome:
Unfortunately the snakes have their ups and downs. The young one is having trouble with shedding the transparent scales over his eyes again, which means we have to rub medicine on them every day and he HATES it.
As for the old one, he's on his last legs, so to speak. I just spent $300 at the vet to get a blood test; turns out he has some sort of infection and he'll have to swallow meds every day. He's not going to like that either.
The other members of my menagerie are doing fine, though, thank you for asking!
You are a better man than I. I loathe running. I can dance for hours, but I can barely get down the block without getting winded, my throat hurting, and my back feeling crunched.

That is a cool looking bike.
I have contracted the plague again. I need some hot weather and bright sunshine to bake it out of me. Probably have to work all weekend to catch up at work. So many things to do, hard to believe the economy is slow. Hate to think what things would be like if things were booming. Such is life, feast or famine. The corporate boys have...

I hope you're feeling better now, thanks for the friend request and enjoy spoiling your goddess
Hilary sent me a nasty message after the last blog. She really shouldn't blog after heavy drinking. I guess that would mean she won't be blogging for some time. Watch your back Barack. We needya for the urgency of now.
Ahh, domestic tranquility. Had to get the septic tank pumped out after 25 years. Perhaps I now have as much credibility as Barack. I know, surely, I am not nearly as full of shit as Hilary, as they hauled off 2 loads this afternoon.
