Thinking back, the qual wasn't all that bad. Sure, I feared it, and I might have even failed it if it hadn't been for my friends. We did a lot for each other. Everyone said it would be trivial. That's a good word. I remember thinking after it was over that it certainly wasn't trivial and that I wouldn't tell next year's juniors lies like that... but thinking back it sure *feels* trivial. AL, don't say that to them. And bring them the booze the seniors promised you! They deserve it.
In fact, I'd actually forgotten what it was like to have friends you don't fuck.

I got a call from the ol' ex the other day. I did the right thing all those years ago. *pats self on back* AL, you did a good job of getting rid of certain obsticals that would have kept you from living your dreams. He hasn't changed. He'll never change.
And he'll never understand why things that don't touch you directly can make you unhappy.

And horsepower is waaaayyy cooler than kilowatts.
Of course, they could get rid of it all and just use dyno graphs to sell cars...but something tells me the human race just isn't ready for that yet, that people would just buy the car with the prettiest graphs, and then...oh, right, rambling.
