I used to work for a mail order pharmacy, we were also an Insurance help desk. Your doctor may need to do what is called a prior authorization. It may take a little bit, but what I have noticed is that they usually allow them, or offer an alternaitve medication that would be covered. I guess it really depends on the medication and the insurance company.
