Hello everyone! <3
When I was younger I wanted to follow the very sensible career path of becoming a unicorn. Okay, I’m talking when I was like 7, I legitimately wanted to grow up to be a unicorn.
But on a more serious note, when I was around 10 I really wanted to be a vet. I absolutely adore animals, and wanted to offer help anyway that I could. Long story short, I ended up not wanting to be a vet after I watched Dr. Dolittle and saw that he had to put a thermometer up a dogs butt. Now that I’ve matured, the thought of being a vet is still one that excites me. I went back to study a couple of years ago and did my certificate II in Animal Studies! I think i’d prefer to work in animal welfare however, instead of in the veterinary team.
Throughout my teens I always wanted to be a makeup artist! My grandparents used to take my brother and I to the theatre in London every now and then, and I loved all the makeup and costumes that they would wear. I also really loved horror movies and dreamt of being a special effects makeup artist!
I ended up leaving school early to pursue my makeup dream and I’m a makeup artist in this current day! I’ve had some amazing experiences working on so many amazing sets, and currently work at Sephora as an artist! Exploring the special effects industry is still something I’m very keen to do once I get a bit of money behind me!

@aelevy81 I'd love to be a welfare officer, receiving cases of animal cruelty, seizing animals off unfit owners and even creating the documents for court. This would also come with a whole other job in hand too though... since i'm pretty sure id adopt WAY too many dogs haha! That's amazing, i'm glad you found your passion! by the sounds of it, you're a very creative person!

Yeah, I could use a horror binge, too. Old school horror with actual makeup and physical effects were so much more fun than the computer generated effects. There is some awesome computer stuff going on, but I love how Guillermo del Toro actually still does a lot of actual effects as people continue to move away from it. There's something more gritty and real with a monster costume than some unreal animated creature or blood effect. I'll always love Evil Dead for that. ToeTag puts out stuff that would equate to the Saw series only people get limbs and boobs chopped off through the entire film. It's not my bag, but it's a kind of cool look into a special effects test or how far and what they can do with physical effects. If I could get my hands on some I would send you some. Maybe I'll keep a look out when I visit some friends to get some copies for you.
