I wouldn't call it "capitalist medication". It doens't hurt to do a little splurge for yourself (within reason of course).

To me "medication" would mean buying a whole bunch of shit that you arent' even going to use. I used to work as a cashier at a clothing store and I saw many housewives "medicating" themselves. Nothing wrong with buying yourself some cool shit, but if you buy for the sheer sake of buying, then you are headed towards "medication" territory.

IMHO, anyways.
