Inspired by my last entry where no one got my "banished to the Hell Where People Are Skinned Alive As A Symbol" quote, I am introducing "Akira's Obscure Movie Quotes"! Each update I will posit an obscure line from a famous movie, a famous line from an obscure movie, or eve an obscure line from an obscure movie (but never a famous line from a famous movie). The first person to identify movie that the line is from will win themselves a personalized photoshop image from said film. It's not much but I like photoshopping and it ain't like you guys are solving world hunger.
First up: "the Hell Where People Are Skinned Alive As A Symbol"
You didn't think you guys would get off that easily did you?
Hints:
-It is a film by one of my favorite directors
-My favorite directors (in alphabetical order) are Carpenter, Fincher, Rami, Rodriguez, Romero, and Tarantino
-As much as I love it, it's not on my favorite films list now, but was in the past.
**update** Oninotaki is our first winner!
Now, on to the actual update.
I bought my tix for prom today
Now I just need to buy my outfit, shoes, plane tix, and make hotel reservations. Oh, and find out who I'm going with. **edit** Wow, that was pretty ashattish of me when it's phrased that way. I mean to say "ask a female member of the site to accompany me to said festivities"
Also, I'm still joining those dating sites (and thanks to everyone who gave their advice) but damn, it's hard writing out one of those profiles. It's like "sell yourself in 500 words or less, but make sure you're unique enough to stand out, but not so unique that you seem weird or creepy". Grrr stupid writing. I much prefer the type of writing where I just put events into action and words in people's mouths. No, that doesn't mean I have a god-complex; just that I'm a fiction writer dammit!
Actually I guess they can be one in the same...
