Yeah - I had my little fling with Ebay, and got a couple of cool things, and got screwed on a couple of deals. No biggie. Enough to know that my basic distrust of other people is warranted, and that I shouldn't enter into any commercial transaction in which my dissatisfaction cannot be remedied within 24 hours by having somebody to go to in person, at whom I can wave a receipt, and, failing that, something pointy.

Oh speaking of Smith, this weekend an older gentleman asked me how Vulgar was b/c he was selling its poster and I complimented it. It was funny trying to be objective to a fragile older man about such a film.

It's nice to see a comic nerd, I'm not but I'm in the same family, you know? It's nice to have that kind of inspiration and it keeps wonderful people eternally young.

Well i say the most underrated because of his work with the british bi weekly ( at the time) comic 2000AD. His style of story telling has been duplicated by generation after generation of comic book artists, with no praise and no fanfair. A personally bias, no doubt. But i can't think of anyone more deserving than him and his body of work.

If you guys are truly the friends you think you are, I would make an honest mention (not a declaration of intent) of the possiblity of being an actual item. As you and I both know and feel, life is too short for bullshit. And as you've said, you both feel something is brewing so speaking on it shouldn't be completely foreign to her.
