re: ep. III ... this trailer DOES look better. but i can't ignore that it's part of a trilogy - one that has been weak. i mean, i should be psyched to see anakin fall to the dark side right? but rather than tragedy - it feels like *inevitability* (he was so annoying right from the get to). so i don't care how it happens b/c it just seems so obvious - he's power mad and obnoxious. i mean, i'll see it - i'm sure i'll be enteratained (i have the first two on DVD, was just watching 'the phantom menace' earlier today). i'm just not *stoked*

i'll be curious to see how the whole star wars saga comes together in the end. i feel like the ep I & II have a lot of *filler* - things put in there to sell me stuff later on. the language in them is painfully clunky. i feel like there is a certain lack of *caliber* to these flims that - despite intentions and important character revelatins - mars them. the mythology in the original trilogy soars. the prequel trilogy just seems to lack that grandeur to me. but i'd gladly eat that sentence if ep. III can pull it all together and make the loose ends work.
