April thus far has been the calm before the storm that is going to be May. It has been an uneventful month aside form incidents brough on by alcohol and boredom (which means real-life has been moving along at a slugish pace). Some highlights though have been the release of the Kill Bill series, which are going to go down as two of the best movies made in the first decade of the 21st century (if not the first half). I bought two Beta fish, which are a joy to watch swim around here next to my desk. I have them in a small plastic bin that has a clear divider (the Beta fish is also known as the fightin fish, and if together will fight eachother to the death) so they can see eachother. So far this has led to a fluctuation between extreme excietment and sheer exhuation for the poor fishies. I think this will lead to one of the fish dying due to its inability to keep up with the stamina of the other fish, my girl friend thinks they will eventually get used to eachother (yeah, we're increddiably different people). I named the pair after a couple of movie characters who I know will make it to cult, if not pop status - and right now they're showing off their stuff, both are black bodied, one with deep blue fins with a touch of purple and red, the other with rich red fins with purple tips, they really contract eachother well. The plan is if they are both still alive in a year the divider (which is made to be pulled out) will be gone and only one will see the next year. Hopefully I can get some good betting going on this one. Other than that I'm just waiting for May and all the trouble it will bring; finals, final paper drafts, moving, finding a roommate, and getting some 100 college freshman moved out of a apt complex with no damage done to their lodgings.
