Today did not go as planned. I'd expected to get a metric fuck-tonne of work done today. Instead, I achieved very little. It was a very lazy day, which could be argued is something I've needed for a while now.
After a night on the booze and being a social drunkard in Facebook I finally went to bed around 3AM. My eldest son came into our room fairly early in the morning to thank me for setting up his car tracks and ask if he could watch TV. I couldn't go back to sleep so I got up and we ate breakfast together. My wife and the youngest came down soon after that. The rest of the morning was shared between playing with the boys, doing a few household chores, and flubbing around quite aimlessly on the 'net.
My services were requested after lunch to rub out a sore neck and shoulders. That ended up in an impromptu roll in the proverbial hay which came as a very welcome surprise. Actually, "roll in the hay" may give the impression of something more slow and subdued. This would have been categorised more correctly under "primal pounding." Either way, it was very good indeed.
The afternoon was no more productive than the morning. Our youngest has had a rash around his genitals for two days so we finally decided to take him in to the doctor this afternoon. Two hours later and we had a prescription which will hopefully have everything cleared up in a few days and help him with his discomfort.
After putting the boys to bed tonight I played a little Rise of Nations, the the wife and I had some couch time and watched the movie Salt. We liked it. I've caught up on some emails now, done a little research for a new clients project, had a brief look at SG, and caught up on some blogs here. It's 3:30AM and probably time I hit the hay. Number one should be waking up in a few hours and will no doubt be patting my shoulder and asking for something to eat.
Yet another gripping entry
