OK before I start to rant please understand I was a valet / Bellhop for 12 years, it was a tipped position.
Fuck these fucking waiters and waitress today that think they are god's fucking gift to mankind and claim shit like being stiffed is 'Theft of Service' I was stiffed 10-15 times a mother fucking day for 12 years and never thought so highly of myself that I wanted to call stiffing me a crime. Seriously? Fuck You.
In the past two or three I have seen a massive upswing in the cockiness and arrogance of tipped employees has reached a point where I will tip based on their service instead of the flat 20% i would in the past. Shit 20% is expected even for shit service by half of them now.
Will I leave no tip? If it is warranted hell yes, case and point a month or so ago I was at Buffalo Wild Wings for the UFC event and date night with my wife. It was fairly slow when we got there, sat in the bar area. The waitress was prompt took our orders, brought our drinks, then I was her 4 more times in 4.5 hours, three of those times I had to flag her down. The final only time after the first she came to our table was to give me the bill which had the suggested tip circled. Fuck you, nothing for you. I went and tipped the bartender who made the drinks for her to bring to us rather then tip her.
