Morning SG!
So today begins the first day shift for me. For 12 years, ever since I graduated high school I have worked almost exclusively 2nd shift (3-11). I was offered day shifts and a couple years ago I would not have accepted it, but now with having a daughter who I haven’t seen more than an hour a day on days I worked I jumped at the chance. Before, I fell asleep around 5Am, and got up around noon when my daughter took her nap, and by the time she got up I was gone to work.
Now I can get up and have breakfast with her in the morning, and hang out for a couple hours, and when I get home at night eat dinner as a family and put her to bed every night. So far so good, I woke up earlier than expected but I feel pretty good, so we shall see how it goes.
