Ouch!! my cat just bit me hella hard because I stopped petting him to type this. Bastid!
Yeah, I'm kind of an alt comic kinda guy. I have a ton of spandex.... I mean superhero books to try and get into but I just can't seem to do it. I just dig the dark and weird, what can I say? What would you recommend, though? I'm down to try whatever.
Generally, I think you reply to people's comments by writing something on their blog.
Recommendations... hmm. I'm a HUGE fan of Batman (who often falls into the dark and weird category), so I've got a large list of Batman graphic novels you can check out starting with Hush, The Long Halloween, Dark Victory, The Man Who Laughs, and The Dark Knight Returns. The monthly Batman comic and the new Batman & Robin are pretty good as well. I haven't read The Killing Joke or "Arkham Asylum: A Serious House on Serious Earth" yet but I've heard they're really good and dark-y as well.
If you're just looking for a good read, the DC crossover Identity Crisis was pretty good. Of course, Watchmen is one of my favourite graphic novels of all time so I'd recommend that if you somehow haven't read it already . Neil Gaiman's The Sandman is definitely worth the read as well.
