Today was a wonderful day.

I saw Fahrenheit 9/11, and while I wasn't totally blown away by it, it was decently thought-provoking.

My parents and I went to see the Simon and Garfunkel concert in Milwaukee tonight, as well. They played my dad's favorite song, Cecelia. I was so happy. It was great to see him act like a little kid. I love my dad so much. On the way out of the concert we stopped and got some italian food, and he didn't stop giving my mom shit the whole time. Teasing her in a funny way, not being mean. She rolls her eyes all the time, so he mocks her. We acted like a family again tonight, which was a little hard to wrap my brain around. They're so good together sometimes that I have to take a step back and remember they're divorced.

Anyway, the concert was beautiful. I think my favorite song was Scarborough Fair or The Boxer. They closed the show out with Feelin' Groovy, though, which was indescribable. Too many great songs in a two hour period! biggrin

s & g are really cool. that is awesome you got to hang with your parents and do something so fun! they may not be together anymore but they will always be your parents and love you!!!

some people are a much better match when they're *not* married!
i too have a great relationship with my parents, something that seems fairly rare these days. i wouldn't trade that for anything. :mush:
