I'm kinda freaked out right now. Twice, I've left the apartment, positive I've turned off all the lights, and locked the door. Upon returning, I found lights on and the door still locked. The first time, it was just the living room light. Today, when I left the apartment for four hours sealed up tight with a bug bomb, I came back to find the living room & kitchen lights on. Now my landlord is a little old lady, and I can't imagine her making it all the way through the room the bug bomb was in into the kitchen to turn on a light. I may just be mistaken about turning the lights off, though Myke says he remembers me turning them off when we left today. But I know for a fact I turned them off tonight. If any lights are on when I get there tomorrow, I'm calling Ms. Deal to ask if she's been in and out at all. This is scary shit, I'm going to be living there all by myself, and though I'm a pretty tough chick, I'm still a chick. And I like my stuff. I like it a lot. If it happens again, and she says it wasn't her, I'm enlisting the help of the neighborhood guys to try to figure out how one could get into my apartment other than the door. If they can't find a way, I'll change the locks. If it still keeps happening, I will then think of considering my old roomates suggestion that it's a "ghost" (this was her first reaction when I told her, no thought of landlord or anything else). I love her to death, but her grip on reality is not the strongest I've seen.
