I would like to take the time to vent a bit about tattoos in the workplace. I work in an office of a multi million dollar company that is relativity well known through out the south east US where I am part of the service center. I have spoken with thousands of customers throughout my employment but never face to face. If 99.9% of contact is through phone or email why cant I wear shirt & jeans to work? I really don't think it's fair that I cannot finish my sleeves the way I originally designed them to reach my hands and neck just because rules that were set 20 years ago. I have a wonderful job that pays well where I enjoy the people I work with. I find myself at times longing to give it all up just to finish what I started and be myself.
I have decided to go back to college for art and classes that will teach me to draw. I have decided to peruse a carrere and a life as a Tattoo artist. When I see my artist, I see someone who is free, and happy doing something they love every day. That is what I want and I feel that is what is will take to make me happy.
It will be a long difficult journey, but it is one I am prepared to make in the pursuit of happiness
Either that or become a pirate!
