This entry will be dedicated solely to the best dining experience of my life.

The Melting Pot

Click that link and you will be at their website. Its an amazing fondue restaurant.

As soon as we walked in I got this cheesy smile on my face, I was anticipating going there all day long. I love fondue. Almost immediately we were seated at a beautiful table, which was made of real marble. The general colors of the restaurant were very rich. Lots of burgundy and dark purple and some beige.

Our waitor was a guy named Lyle. He went through the dozen page menu (most of the pages were wines) but we already knew what we wanted.

We got the Fondue for Two. It was as follows:

To begin, we got root beer, which we had put in wine glasses. Our first course was the cheese fondue course. There were four different cheeses to select from, but we chose the Fiesta Cheese Fondue. (=Cheddar cheese with the flavor of mexican herbs, spices, jalapeno peppers, and salsa. Served with crisp tortilla chips, and made as spicy as you like.) To dip in the cheese we had amazing bread, chips, cauliflower, carrots, and freshly cut apples. All of which were amazing.

After that we had salad. There were 3 to choose from, but I got the California Salad. (=Mixed baby salad greens, roma tomatoes, walnuts, and gorgonzola cheese, topped with raspberry black walnut vinaigarette dressing.) I loved it. It was very sweet.

And then came the main entree. We had options of what kind of fancy oil mixtures to cook it in (= we chose Fondue Court Bouillon, A seasoned vegetable broth that is full of flavor while low in sodium, and cholesteral free.) The actual entree was called the Signature Selection (=Choice tenderloin, shrimp, teriyaki marinated choice sirloin, boneless breast of chicken and fresh fish fillet and salmon.) There were other selections featuring duck and more seafood varieties though.

Ive never been a seafood fan, but that salmon was amazing. The steak was some of the best I have ever had. Dipped with barbeque sauce (among the near dozen sauces we were given) along with garlic and wine powder, it made for an amazing dinner.

But it all led up to dessert. There were about 10 different kinds of chocolate fondues to choose from, but I chose the cookies and cream marshmallow one. It was served to us and then lit on fire to roast the marshmallow to perfection. The chocolate was dark chocolate, and I had a bowl of caramel on the side. To dip in it, we had brownies, marshmallows, bananas, strawberries, cheesecake, pinneapple, and a few other things. It was what my heaven would be like.

I was going to take pictures and document everything, but my effin cameras battery died. Figures.

All in all, it was rather pricey, but well worth it. I suggest going to the website I linked at the top and checking out the full menu yourself, and seeing if there's one by you. Its absolutely incredible.

Special Thanks to my wonderful boyfriend Johnbob, for not letting me pay for it. kiss biggrin

That sounds really yummy. Now I urgently need a date, lol. Oh, and the willpower to make it through all the courses without having my stomach explode.
