How do you tell someone that you think the things you compromised on, the things you told yourself you over and over you could be ok without, that these are the very things you need to live? How do you tell someone that it has been a struggle to be happy with them even though your life together hasnt been bad? How do you tell someone that youve so lost sight of your dreams you can barely remember that you ever had any? How do you tell someone that something as simple a blade of grass breaking through the sidewalk brought them all rushing back at you? How do you tell someone that just a glimmer of that dream life makes your real life intolerable? And finally how do you tell this to yourself, and once you hear it, what do you do about it?
