So, I went out to QXT's in Newark tonight (a goth night) with my little brother. I hung out with my old SG camping pal's Derceto, Tadzi, and Iggy there. I wasn't expecting much, it being Newark and all, but I actually had an awesome time. I defiinitely plan on going there again when I am home in NY over the Christmas break....

Mikey....GO FOR IT!!!!!!!!!!
Today is my least favorite holiday. I'm not particularly fond of the food. Even after being soaked in brine overnight, turkey is so dry and tasteless, Why do we celebrate eating this bird?? Why do we celebrate eating anything? I'd be much happier eating sushi or pizza or even spaghetti. I think Sid's family has the right idea. They go to Aruba every Thanksgiving....

Email me your number and I'll get you all the details.

I'm back in NY for Thanksgiving. I'm not happy being here, I've been so incredibly bored and I spend most of the day sleeping. Maybe now that my brother and sister are home, things won't be so lame,.
So, I called the girl that I wrote about in my last entry. Her phone went straight to voicemail as if it was turned off, so I...

She's already recieved your message, and has probably noticed the missed call as well. That's two calls within two days that she knows of, and you only met her Saturday night/Sunday morning? You're pushing your luck, hard. It is the week of Thanksgiving, so she's probably doing something turkey-related with some sort of family/friend(s). Maybe even sticking turkey basters where they don't belong... but I digress. I would have waited until after this week was over to even think of calling her.
The last girl/moron I was with, I waited three, maybe even four days before I called her, and what was her eventual reaction to my patience/procrastination?
"I almost thought you weren't going to call me, and that you didn't like me!"
We then proceeded to make out.
Just to play it safe, don't call her again. Not in a few days. Not in a week. Not ever. If she doesn't call back, she was either put off by the quantity and/or rather immediate placement of your calls, or she wasn't worth it to begin with. In fact, if you see her at Toast again, don't go out of your way to talk to her. You've more than put the ball in her court, now it's up to her to make an effort if she's interested.

Sort of random update today. I felt like I needed to write something non-Sarah2 related.
I saw Haruki Murakami speak at Harvard yesterday. He is a famous - perhaps the most famous - contemporary Japanese author. His books have become quite popular in America too, and they said the talk would have sold out many times over. I was lucky to get a ticket from...

Oh man, he's my favorite author! Sniff.
Side Note: I really like his books "Norwegian Wood" and "Hard Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World" the most.

wow... I'm still in shock.
So despite my best efforts to "cut her off" Sarah2 called me up today. I was good and I didn't answer the phone. I didn't expect her to call because I knew that Tuesday she *finally* read the e-mail that I had sent her Friday night. I figured she'd get the picture (see last journal for the e-mail). But she...

I'm trying to piece my life back together. My parents tell me I should save money and not go out every night but if I don't go out I won't see anyone all day, besides whomever I buy lunch from and my roommate on occasion (but she is super shy and never talks to me). Even so, going out has become less fun recently.
I...

Wow, I haven't had one of these in a long time... Here goes.
So, it started off as a good night. Sid and I showed up at Xmortis early and I started drinking as soon as I got there. I had already had four drinks by the time Sarah got there at 11:30. I spent most of the night hitting on a lesbian....

I don't know what I'd prefer -- being misled, or being flat out lied to.
When you look back, it's very hard to tell the difference. From somebody who's further along in recovery: my advice is to not waste your time on it. Continue to get drunk, though, it'll keep you warm in the chilly months ahead.

I'm fairly depressed. I don't understand SG at all. I'll post a pointless journal entry and I'll get fifteen comments in two days, but then I'll post something that I think is a unque and funny episode in my life and I'll get just one comment about it. I'm not going to bother even posting the poem that I had commissioned here. What's the point....

What about Seattle!?

I definitely enjoyed Murakami's books, but they aren't necessarily "enjoyable." Does that make sense?
You really would get sick of pizza after a while. I mean, I still eat it, but it's lost some of the joy for sure. But we have pretty good pizza at my place. If I do say so myself.
You're still welcome to come up for my Bday, however I cannot offer you or Sid a place to stay as my housing won't allow it. We're meeting at the Taco Bell on S. Willow St. around 6:30-7ish.
