yo sir... we missed out on manray the other night unfortunately, so i never got a chance to thank you for having us over for the BBQ, but thanks! the "lizard" burgers were awesome! we were gonna go, but i had only had the sleep i got on the beach and both of my ankles were sunburned really bad... i figured i'd be miserable dancing and also, palo just wasn't feeling good... we ended up just going right to sleep.
I had a crazy busy weekend. I started writing a long journal entry about everything that happened, but then I got tired and couldn't concentrate anymore, so I'm just going to write some of the highlights now and fill the rest in later.

i generally tend to think in terms of a much more precise definition of artist. i think there is a difference between creative people and artists... i think it comes down to the kind of commitment you make with the way you live your life. i wouldn't begrudge anyone creative talent and people who do their thing with a certain flair (like getting dressed up, painting, building weird things, etc) is wonderful... but i tend to think of artists in terms of people who make the sacrfice to understand humanity and express it back so that others may see their view on the matter.
it's a narrow definition and there are far too many people in the world for it to be so cut and dry.

Well, I forgot to add that it's served me pretty well as a face for the last twenty years or so. No major complaints.
Well, I was kneeling down next to a neighborhood dog who had just been fighting with another dog, trying to calm it down or something. So it bit me in the face. I don't remember much at all, besides that they had to put me under general anesthesia to get stitches in, and that made me really nauseated. So I don't remember the pain, just my dad freaking out.
