Welp.. it's 7:08 am.
I worked an 11 hour work day yesterday.. I woke up at 11 and was quite hungover so I lounged around, read a little bit, took a shower. Got to work by 2, and I found out one of the bakers, someone I was supposed to be working with that day, was fired. Not that I mind, the guy was a total dick, but they didn't find a replacement. Meanwhile one of the girls they had working was ridiculously slow and she chatters to herself. ALL THE TIME. In rapid Spanish and this voice that sounds a lot like Fran Drescher's from the Nanny. Sometimes it's weird being the only non bilingual person where I work, heh.
Anyway. I left around 1:20 am. Bleh. My feet do not appreciate it.
So now I am sitting here at home.
- Carrot cake is in the oven..
- I am having a drink (bacardi and coke) out of a wine glass because all other glasses are dirty and I don't feel like cleaning them.
- I am looking up instructions on making a fondant bunny to go on top of said cake because I really have no clue how to but it has to be easier than whipping out a bunch of marzipan carrots. Blargh. Plus I don't really have the food coloring right now for that, ha.
- I *really* want to sleep but I don't think I'll get a chance between now and 11, when I've gotta go to the Easter party.
Oh, yeah.. I'm reasonably sure that there are squirrels in our walls and in the ceiling. We've had raccoons and stuff but this sounds a lot smaller. Whenever it gets rainy and stormy out I think they run inside, but it drives the cats nuts. They run around staring at the walls and flipping out, trying to figure out how to get to it. It's sad and cute all wrapped into one.
I really wish I had a bath tub still. Instead there's just a stand up shower but a tub to just soak into sounds so good right now. Though I will admit that when drunk I have been known to sit down in the shower, heh!
