Between each line is a long distance smile circled around the figure eight of twisted tongues and mimetic goodbyes. We swiftly sway back and forth on the once beautiful but now rusted swings of desire that flow through the never ending polluted air. Our lungs are filled with black smoke from the dusty areas of lust trying to cough up the little hope from our halfway beating heart. Just keep it simple. Hold on to that moment of a memory that will never be forgotten but only disappeared in our over constructed but not built big enough brain. Through the trees down the road is a house where they laugh. Their smiles have never been envied before as they are now. "What is your secret?" We asked. And they replied, "Never look back and live for today like it's a dream for tomorrow." But they never would tell exactly what that meant. And then we questioned them. Were they living a lie of a movie star face only pretending to be the prettiest little piece of happiness in the box of old treasures that were thrown away like garbage? Or was this the life that everyone strives to live? Down the road was a greener path with golden flowers and silver platters. Two lovers collided in the grass intertwining their wants, hopes, and dreams with no words being said. Only the motions of their body were spoken to say the thoughts on their mind. But we were way too young care about fake lines that led to diverged roads of life. and sometimes we let our hopes take over our dreams by looking into the stars and trying to find the one that shot across the sky when we made that wish that was fallen to the ground like that very same star. But it shined so brightly until the clouds became darker and our hearts were rained on only causing them to forget how to pump blood to our once innocent souls. Too bad we never remembered our dreams. But in the end, all I could remember from that fairytale with the never happy ending, was to move fast and love strong because sometimes we forget the simple things.
