When I went to the local thrift shop almost 3 weeks ago, I thought it would be relatively easy to find a wide assortment of ugly christmas sweaters to choose from. Not so, not so. Not a single ugly xmas sweater to choose from. [Did I come too late in the season? Too many ugly xmas sweater parties now? Too much demand, too few sweaters? *sniff sniff*]
So I had to put together my own. The ones pictured above are for my little people. The ones I "made" for J and I were even simpler. I took one of J's plain brown sweaters and "ugly-sweaterized" it by adding 3 little gingerbread and 2 heart ornaments on it. Will you wear it?, I asked. Yes, I'll wear it for book club, he replied. But not out in public?, I continued. Well, I have self-respect, he responded and smirked/smiled.
