I'm gettin' so sick of assholes
I'm sick of the TV too
I wanna get out on the streets
But there's nothin' to fuckin' do!
The Dead Boys - "Ain't Nothin' To Do" (1977)
So, two days back at work and so far...well, it's been bearable I guess. I would say something interesting about my job but, as you may have guessed from past entries, I don't think that's actually humanly possible. So tough.
But some good things that have happened in the last few days:
* Got a copy of the Hellacopters' "Cream Of The Crap Vol 2" which has been pretty much stuck on non-stop play on my stereo ever since (inbetween giving the odd play to the Velvet Revolver album, various Metallica stuff, that Brides of Destruction track on the free CD with Metal Hammer this month and thrashing the shit out of my Flying V to the Misfits' "Attitude"). Welcome to the dark side of the garage muthafuckas - four Swedish long-haired gumbies beat seven shades of shit out of their instruments for 22 tracks and cover Sabbath, the Dead Boys and the Misfits en route - pure fuckin' rock 'n' roll heaven. And their version of Kiss' "All-American Man" truly has to be heard to be believed.
* Booked me and primate in for a business training course for next week as part of the whole "preparing to open the record shop" thing. Which means even more time off (I've already got two days off next week for my mate's birthday which is gonna involve drinking far too much alcohol! Yay me!). May also be going for a meeting with the Prince's Trust with regard to getting a startup grant for it so am keeping my fingers crossed...
* Also round to the simian one's house tonight with various other reprobates for an evening of drinking, smoking and watching horror DVD's - hehehe...all good fun...'ow many killings do this lot contain then?
* Eagerly awaiting the start of Euro 2004 so I can cheer England on to glorious failure yet again.
* Oh and "Rock of Ages" tomorrow night as well for some serious headbanging. Hopefully this time with emogirl as my company - keep your fingers crossed for me everyone.
Righto then, that's me done for the next few days. Have a good 'un you lot - speak to you all soon.

PS Photos from the Manchester meet and, more importantly, Download, now up! Rock on dudes and dudettes! \m/
