"...Son, you must try this life you're talking about...." - Trisomie 21

Great weekend for the most part, and thanks for all the well wishes on my b-day. I really do appreciate it. I managed to get good and lit on Friday with a bunch a friends - and ended up at the Nightlite Lounge here in Seattle (a fantastic dive ).

Saturday, was recovery mode and the ex took me out to Kingfish Cafe. HO....LY....SHIT. I've been there before, but I forget how damn good the place is! It's and all Southern soul-food fiesta! Something I grew a taste for when I lived in Savannah, Ga. We had the Citrus jerk chicken wings to start - damn! fucking fantastic! then I had fried red snapper, and she had the catfish fillet with grits and collared greens - unreal! While all this gluttony is going on, the amazingly hot waitresses are coming by and tending to your table - ok ok, all this was followed by a serving of strawberry shortcake, which is (was) literally, the size of my head! and no low fat/low-carb crap here! all natural baby! I was done after that.... biggrin

Ahhhh...phew.... I've been digging up old cd's (hence my last post). Charlie Parker, Lionel Hampton, John Coltrane...amazing stuff. "Bird at the High Hat" is an album I cannot recommend enough.

Hey there. I'm doing okay. Shit's still moving at the same speed while I look on through dirty windows as usual. It almost feels like I'm in a movie waiting for the pace to pick up or for the antagonist to make his move... but it hasn't happned.

Jes is doing good. She always makes me laugh. Brings some shine in through the clouds and what not. Sara's even better though. I tend to be happier when she's around.

How are things with you though? I haven't heard from you in more than a bit.
