I was sitting at Linda's here on Capitol Hill, reading and having a beer. I overheard the bartender, cute little brunette, talking to a customer about being carded. He was asked for ID and handed it over, then he asked the bartender how old she was. "28", she replied. "Hm, that kinda old, " he said. I just sipped my beer and shook my head. I used to think that was old once too. I can remember thinking life was done at 30, and you better have a wife, 2.5 kids, and house in the 'burbs, and stay at home on weekends with the family. Things have changed, I've grown older, I'd like to think a little wiser, and I'm not so concerned about setting 'markers' and 'what I should be doing' when get to a certain age, because you really only have so much control over things.
Enjoy life, take things as they come, and be thankful for what you've got.
Time to head out and get drunk with the kiddies
