Do you enjoy slashers filmed like no other? Then may I recommend In A Violent Nature, which has a plain simple slasher plot, but uniquely maintains tension throughout just in the way it’s filmed. You should watch it just to experience it.
As a slasher, it’s fine, with super horrific kills and all. But really the direction is the star of the show.
Do you enjoy movies that require an unreasonable amount of suspension of disbelief? Then may I recommend The Watchers, which has an interesting tease of a premise to trick you into watching a tale that’s nonsense when it isn’t ridiculous.
Looks great tho, w/ high production value & cinematography.
Do you enjoy movies that emphasize the wrong things? Then may I recommend The Deliverance, which spends too long building characters who just turn out to be surprisingly stereotypical, then is perfunctory on the most generic demon from central casting, all to end awkwardly.
Great acting tho, fwiw.
Do you enjoy vehicle movies—meaning movies that are mere vehicles to see two comedic actors do their thing over a thin premise? Then may I recommend Jackpot!, which is nothing but fight scenes with one liners. I mean almost literally nothing but that. Given that, it’s hilarious in places, funny in others, and a treat to watch these two.
