Do you enjoy Marvel movies? Then may I recommend Quantumania, which has all the Marvel things Marvelling it up in it: big action, big colors, and big stars all on a tiny—nay, quantum—scale.

Do you enjoy slickly made murder thrillers from the villain’s perspective? Then may I recommend Influencer, which kind of introduces the genre to the youths and glosses over some things to support the fantasy, but nevertheless encourages you to see what happens.

Gotta say I’m liking this series. I’m just going to predict that there’s going to be a cliffhanger at the season finale and I will positively lose my shit then invent a time machine expressly to go into the future to see it resolved.

Do you enjoy brutal, sad, horror that uses just enough fantasy to illustrate how terrible humans are to each other personally and as a failed society? Then may I recommend Tigers Are Not Afraid, which is a beautiful in its darkness. Caution: do not watch if already sad IRL.

Do you enjoy desperate MacGiffin movies with tense scenes? Then may I recommend Black Crab, a film that actually skates on thin ice. I liked how the big questions were unanswered (e.g. how did it all come to this) because the movie was right—it’s not about that, it’s about her.

Do you enjoy movies that do _not_ deviate from what it says on the tin? Then may I recommend Prey, the German one from 2022, which is about a sniper who stalks a bunch of guys in the woods. That’s it/all. An unexpected on who the sniper is, who also has zero lines of dialogue.
