Do you enjoy completely delightful, thrilling, and adorable heist movies—with a twist? Then may I recommend Army of Thieves, which I saw cold except for seeing the trailer once and adding to my list. I encourage you to just press play. It’s so fun and good and…a delight!

Do you enjoy almost-satisfying sort-of Lovecrafty movies about two isolated men on a rocky island in 1913? Then may I recommend Cold Skin, which had great production value but flopped around a bit and wasn’t nearly as deep as it could’ve been.

I'll watch and come back to say what I thought ♥

@lexa Please do, yes! 😃

Do you enjoy Michael Caine movies? Then may I recommend The Hand, starring Michael Caine. Aside from Michael Caine, this movie features a dead body—you can tell because her eyes are open and crossed. Crossed. It’s billed as a psychological thriller but it’s not gripping. #ISaidIt

I just went outside into the open atmosphere to mail a letter (to @belladonna) ☺️ and OMG it’s hot! Like fuck walking outside forever hot. Do not like. 😣

If anyone needs me, I’ll be inside, away from the uncontained fusion reaction from the giant light in the sky. 😅

belladonna:
Omggg!!!! It’s hot as hell 😱😱😱

Do you enjoy horror movies that are neither scary nor thrilling? Then may I recommend The Last Voyage of the Demeter. During the credits, Marsha commented “Meg 2 was better.” That is a true fact. Bland dialogue, boring script, and a yawn of a monster.

Do you enjoy big budget action monster movie sequels? Then may I recommend Meg 2: The Trench which I thoroughly enjoyed for all its extremeness. A stronger than expected human vs human first half—and then there was a wholly unexpected bonus monster! THEN the credits song! So fun!

Do you enjoy masterful combinations of suspense and horror? Then may I recommend Talk to Me, a film that I only just heard about this morning and I’m glad I saw it in the theater. I won’t say more b/c I saw it almost cold and that, I think, made the impact greater. It’s…good.

olgakulaga:
I need watching this one! Thank you 🙏🏼

Do you enjoy glacially slow burn movies that are yet compelling enough to watch all the way through? Then may I recommend _Tower. A Bright Day_, which masters the art of stringing one along barely enough with the promise of an explanation at the end. Does it? I shouldn’t say.

Do you enjoy delightfulmy executed fantasy? Then may I recommend Asteroid City, which is a perfectly acted and directed small, simple, complex story with many moving parts all working toward several conclusions in a cute, amusing, easy-to-follow yet pay-attention (meta)story.
