Oh yeah, one of the reasons why I like World of Warcraft. 😄

Two new additions to my spooky fit for Abethany, my World of Warcraft main. This year, she dons Granny’s Old Hat for a more traditional witchy look atop the usual Black Velvet Dress.

Also new is the perfect main hand, the Staff of Earned Tranquility, with gnarled black wood, off-white skull, and dripping orange petals.

I haven’t played #Warcraft since the first week of August, so two months is the longest I can ever go w/o the game, if these past 18 years of playing the game are any indication. 😄

Anyway, this time I came back for the (permanent) broomstick mount and witchy hat! 🧙♀️💀🎃🍂

I’ve seen The Birds three times and I’ve only ever found it comically unthrilling. I’m perfectly willing to accept I’m the Only Person Ever to just not get this film. But…man, I do not get it. It’s just birds. Whatever buttons it’s supposed to push I simply lack entirely. 🤷♂️

Do you enjoy disaster films with an interesting premise? Then may I recommend Awake, which I thought was about aliens but wasn’t. Instead, it’s by-the-numbers disaster film with nothing to recommend it aside from a strong lady lead, which we need lots more of, really.

My gosh, what a fab opener. It’s nonsense if you haven’t seen the first season as this picks up at the same time (heh, pun, IYKYK) where the previous left off.

But golly. Got me going, I tell you what. Excellent—top quality—show. 😃

Do you enjoy low budget found footage films that have a clever premise but aren’t actually scary? Then may I recommend Hell House 1–3, which I watched all three in one sitting. They would’ve been more effective with more budget, I reckon. Not much to say otherwise, really.

Lake Mungo, the best spirit photography movie and, I still maintain, which has the best opening line of any movie, is now available on Shudder.

It’s spooky season! That, among other things, means lighting the tree an appropriate color! 🧡🧡🧡 I drew a very gentle twinkle that’s so subtle you almost can’t see it—like a ghost! 👻 I’m lowkey proud of its ephemeralness.

Tonight, my additional wife Marsha, her husband, sister, & sister’s friend, plus two from our D&D group, all went to a burlesque at the tiny Rendezvous in downtown Seattle .

It was a good show! Amateur production but crazy high enthusiasm—and featured trans dancers!

And Marsha won a prize for best dressed in audience!
