Nothing like a weekend of brunch and kung-fu. Yesterday Dane, a most excellent cook from the trailerpark roots, made brunch. We are talking the full brunch, eggs made to order, any way you wanted them, benedict and all. There was also sausage gravy and biscuits, bacon, bagels, pancakes, fruit, meat and cheese tray. Just an amazing array of food, all prepared from scratch, quite an amazing kid this Dane is.
Once we dug into the food, and smoked a little bit to make sure all that food didn't go to waste ... teehee ... we turned on the kung-fu. Lots of Jet Li, including a movie, not sure of the name, partly due to the fact that it apparently hasn't been released in the US, so the entire cover and absolutely the entire DVD was in mandarin, and sadly, I am not much of a multi-lingual person. But the movies were quite thrilling to watch, and we also watched a pirated copy of The Last Samurai. Although it didn't suck too bad, its just an american made kung-fu movie, which means, less slice, more talk talk talk. Not the point of a kung-fu movie, yes there are supposed to be morals and principles, but it was all talk talk talk. Oh well.
Afterwards my sister and I went home, and watched a few more episodes of The Vision of Escaflowne, which she is really getting into. Happy to see more girls enjoying anime, that makes two out of three sisters in my family. I'm doing a damn good job I think.
Thus ends this journal.
