Nothing went the way it was supposed to yesterday, but everything went wonderfully. Every plan that I had was tossed out he window at some point...
I had a wonderful lunch yesterday. It was pleasure and work all mixed in into one big undiscernable jumble. Kinda like my life... i was eating with one of the new guard of big name producers and this very successful writer. They were trying to convince to me to change my ways. They were like the Carnival guys in Pinnoccio. They were swinging candy and suv's in front of my eyes, but I knew better. I don't want to end up an ass. They mean well...
The breakdancing thing was a bust. I got there and it hadnt really got into swing yet, so we (me and the two lunchers) cut out and went to go chill out with a cup-o-joe and to talk buisness. I haven't had anyone whom I could turn to if I have questions about specific issues that arrise for my work. In this town, asking for help is like admitting failure. But this producer is young and still remebers what it was like to be facing the wall, so he was very open with his work process and layed some shit out on the table that normally doesn't get aired. It was very refreshing. I still don't want to make the movies he makes...nor in the way he makes them...
Low way great. They always are. The echo is such a strange venue to see a show. Not sure I like it. At one point the bartenders started stocking the beer in the fridges in the middle of one of their quiet(er) songs...they are all kinda quiet i guess... I missed clovesbud, but Im sure we will meet soon enough...
Thank you to Doc and Alice for a wonderful post post party. I got mucho faded, which was my intent for the evening. Breakfast was great. A wonderful evening all around.
Today I am going out for dinner to one of my favorite Japanese joints ever...Ita Cho. I cant wait. I cant wait. You have no idea!!!! A Miso Eggplant that has made men cry. Women throw their underwear at the chef. Its insane. You get my point.
