Despite Mother Nature's apparent confusion over what season it is in northern New England, it's still autumn for a few weeks! The leaves this year have been so gorgeous, and I've been taking advantage of it as often as I can!
If only they stayed these colors...
For me, autumn is the last enjoyable opportunity for me to spend time enjoying nature. Winter is beautiful, but that bitter cold? No thanks. Haha. One of my absolute favorite ways to spend time outdoors is on a horse. I've been riding since early childhood, and it's my ultimate source of relaxation. Autumn trail rides are so perfectly quiet, and nothing feels better than connecting with nature and communicating with my pony. I never feel more at home than when I'm able to spend quiet time in the saddle, surrounded by nothing more than falling leaves and whatever curious animals wander across our path.

How often do you get this close to a deer?!
Lucy and I rock autumn trail rides with friends, even when it's freezing.
Happy Autumn!
