So I just dropped sean a few emails applying for the Culture and Tech blog editors. I totally forgot to mention that I used to be the Project Manager of a rather large online gaming news network for several years and for several sites.
I was their golden boy; running a crack crew of news journalists from my desktop computer via ICQ and IRC. Swedes, Englishmen, Canadians, Norweigans, an Aussie Gal, and a few of Zee Germans. I had em all, like Pokemon, that is until our lovely internet bubble burst and said network decided to quit paying staff one lovely January.
20,000 unique visitors a day logging on to read what I or one of my staff post. Rather exciting really, battling it out for visitors with the big boys like IGN. I held the throne. I drove the IGN Vault to its knees.
Ahh... I should have created an online army.
I need to start blogging again. I need to get more involved with the select few digirati of the media blogging world, standing on the sidelines is getting rather boring.
