Working on Christmas makes it not really feel like Christmas. Martin, one of the island flying foxes fell over night and landed on his face/nose. I dealt with a bloody bat all morning. Then one of the Amazon milky tree frogs didn't make it through its procedure, so we pulled it out of medical holding, dead. After the bloody bat. Good thing it was a half day, too bad cramming eight hours into four is easier said than done.

Then there was family crap. I was already late seeing as I had to work, then shower before I could do anything. I'm sorry if my working seemed to ruin everyones afternoon plans. And no, I couldn't just ask for the day off. Animals no nothing of holidays. They still have to be clean and fed just like any other day.

I love my family, but I hate them. I'm the outsider. I don't eat meat, I don't drink red wine...I'm not catholic. And I apologize for having a totally different line of thought.

I miss my grandma, and I think this makes things a little worse.

I suppose I'll open my gifts now...
