Bummed.

So I skipped out on Captain's Call today which is proably going to get me talked to by a few people, but at least I got a bit of sleep.

I was talking to my LPO today and the dude looked down. I asked him why he was only eating a single bagel with no cream cheese and he confided in me. He has been real sick lately too. SO he said, "Since I trust you I'll tell you, and no one else in here knows...."

It turns out that after getting really sick for a week, his wife waited till he recovered on Friday night when he wa recovering and told him she was leaving him for another man. My heart sank in that moment. Just last week he was a happy looking person, now you can see the saddness coming from him in waves. I cannot even imagine the pain that he must be going through. The pain of loss must be beyond anything ever before.

I tried my best to relate, but since I don't have much relationship experience. All I could do was listen which was ok. Sometimes people need that. They just need an ear to hear them so I played that role.

As a side note: Paintall saturday! YEAH!!!! Time with my girl all weekend! I can't wait.

I'm supposed to go up and see her for a little while tomorrow night which will be great. Even five minutes with her will be awesome. Just to see her sweet face. Speaking of which....
