I can't stop playing World of Warcraft. Fucking Jason and his damn addictive video games. I swear, the other night I was bored and couldn't think of anything to do, so I figured since I hadn't played it in a while, I'd go for it... If nothing else, it seemed like an easy way to kill a few hours... Two days later and I'm still all about it. Fucking hell, I'm a dork... A BIG old dork... Hahaha. Yep. Indeed...
Ehmmm... Whatever. It doesn't mean shit in the "grand scheme of things". Yes, I know it's just a saying, and no, I don't think there's any sort of plan or "scheme" to everything... A simple metaphorical figure of speech is hardly the way to start the evening... Oh shit, here I go. I hate it when I start analyzing every tiny little thing about everything. I can't control the urge though, sometimes. It happens of its own accord.
Stephanie told me that Kevin Smith is planning on filming a sequel to "Clerks". Part of me wants to see it, oh-so-badly. The other part of me thinks it's probably going to be really stupid, nothing more than a cash-in/sell-out move by a director who could care less anymore what the general public thinks of his films. That being said, if and when it comes out, I'll be in line, giving up the handful of cash like everyone else.
I saw this book at work today called "The Town That Forgot How To Breathe". It seemed kind of interesting. If anyone's read it, I'm curious to hear what you thought of it. I'm working on four or five books right now, at the same time, and I'm not feeling like investing the extra time to fit in another one unless it's damn good. If it's not damn good, then that's fine, it'll just have to wait a little while I guess.
I want to go back to Richmond. I want to stay in Richmond. Anything to get away and out of Fayetteville. It's so nice there. It's no different from any other city in the world, but at the same time, it (and probably every other city, in my mind, anyway) is so far removed from how things are here. I can't stand it here. It's like there's some invisible stink in the earth and it sticks to people and I'm the only one who can smell it. It's like the city is a living, breathing thing (which it is, kinda), and the people that populate it are its face to the world. Its pancake-makeup smeared "visage" that is presented to people who either don't know, or simply don't care to look a little closer, to dig a little deeper.
Ugh. Fayetteville. And on that same note... Ugh. Fort Bragg. If you know what I'm saying, then I'm sure I don't need to elaborate any further. If not, then... Um... Hmmm... Whatever, forget it. It's not a huge deal. It's just on my mind right this moment. In ten minutes, I'm sure I'll be on some other train of thought.
I'm not looking forward to Thanksgiving. I am looking forward to being off work and still being paid for it, but I'm not looking forward to spending an entire day and night with my family. They always find a way to get under my skin, to find a way to annoy and bother me, in a way that only family is capable of...
Anyway, off to go watch the big TV now...
Later y'all! (I'm feeling very Southern at this moment... I apologize.)
