I just woke up about half an hour ago and felt the overwhelming desire to play guitar for some reason. Unable to find my guitar, I came to the realization that, the other day, I left it at my friend Andy's house, in a hangover-fueled rush to get home and be ready in time for work. I could just drive over there and get it, but he lives a good half hour away, and I'm feeling incredibly lazy right now. I'll probably see him sometime later this evening, I'll just call and tell him to bring it with him. It still sucks, though. He's probably playing the hell out of my shit, and it's not even that special, it's just an old fucked-up acoustic guitar I've had since I was 13 or 14, covered with stickers (and yes, there are quite a few SG stickers on there, as well). The only reason he plays mine, is that mine is usually in tune, and his neck/frets are completely fucked-up, so everything sounds weird and buzzy. If you don't play guitar at all, I don't imagine you'd know what I'm talking about, but... Oh well.
Speaking of getting my guitar back, I also need to get my "City of God" DVD back from him too. I bet it's still on his DVD shelf. I bet he hasn't even watched it yet, and it's such a good movie. He and I have such completely different taste in movies... He's probably seen the whole Evil Dead and Die Hard trilogies a million times. I've probably done the same for Amelie, Lost In Translation, and Man Bites Dog. I still try to get him to watch other stuff now and then. I do that with all my friends. If I know someone in real life, it's only a matter of time, before I start giving you CDs and DVDs to borrow and watch/listen... Books to read and check out. I'm just a dork like that. I make mix CDs all the time. With so much complete and utter bullshit out there, that people are seemingly flocking in droves to buy, it's nice to know that there's other people out there who are doing their own thing, completely oblivious to the whims and desires of the majority of the "stuff-buying" public... To this day, my friend Maia makes the best mix CDs ever. I don't know where I'm going with this. I got off on a tangent and forgot what I was originally talking about. Anyway...
I'm going to finish this can of Dr. Pepper (breakfast at 9pm). Cigarette. Shower time. Downtown. Skating. Friends. Coffee.
Later.
