So, last night was the SG show in Charlotte. Fucking amazing. That's the only way I can think to describe the show. Fucking shitty is the only way to describe the weather and the resulting drive to Charlotte from Fayetteville.
This Japanese band called TsuShiMaMiRe played first. They were cool as shit. The lead singer broke out the Fender Jaguar, my favorite guitar of all time. Yep, I'm a guitar nerd like that. They were awesome, but I couldn't really understand half of what she (the singer) was saying, not so much because of their Japanese accents (which doesn't really bother me at all), but because I was standing right next to the PA, and her voice was really high-pitched. When her voice went through the PA, I got this kind of reverberating effect, standing directly next to the speakers, and everything sort of got lost in a big mix of sound. They were really good though. I think it would be so fun to be able to see them every night, the SGs on the tour are pretty lucky, in that respect. My friend Stephanie bought all their stuff after the show, CDs, a DVD, and a shitload of little buttons. I wanted to buy some of their CDs, but after things had finished up, all I could afford was a few buttons, because I had spent all my cash on SG stuff. Mmm-hmm... But, um... Japanese all-girl punk bands rock my world. Yep.
I actually can't even remember all of who was there, SG-wise. Reagan was there, Nixon...Chloe... Odette. Oki was the stagehand, looking so adorable the whole evening...and...um, Fractal was there helping out at the merchandise stand afterwards. Yep... Needless to say, I was pretty high and drunk the whole time. Chris, my friend Stephanie's husband, kept bringing me more Guinness, which was cool, but after a while, I was leaning on the PA moreso than simply standing next to it...
They had some new SG with them, who apparently doesn't even have a set up on the site, but who I'm assuming will be up eventually, who can dance like a motherfucker, and is so, so cute... Her name was Reno, I think, so... Keep an eye out.
Slow dancing to some Portishead in a long white dress. Acting like Hunter S. Thompson, pretending to huff ether from a rag... Three lovely ladies dancing around, pretend-sniffing coke the whole time. Whipped cream. Riding crops. Re-enacting the scene from Reservoir Dogs where the cop gets his ear cut off. Little fuzzy tails. Peaches playing over the PA, as Regan led two of the other girls (Chloe and Reno, I think...) on leashes, smacking the shit out of them with a wooden ruler. At one point, Reagan jumped onto the PA right in front of me, doing her thing, and it looked as if she was about to fall off...
So, then the show was over, and I had to get going, but not before I bought some shit, spending money that I really shouldn't have, but fuck it, I could care less. The whole time, I really wanted to just walk around and bullshit with people, but I felt really, really, painfully shy for some reason. I did end up getting Reagan and Fractal to sign some stuff. Shyness notwithstanding, I was determined to at least say hi to Reagan. I mean, she's the fucking coolest, how can you not like her?
Just so you know, suit jackets are fucking hot as hell, especially when you begin the evening by standing in the rain, thereby soaking them all the way through... If you were there, you probably saw me at some point... I was the really quiet asian guy with the blue hair...
Afterwards, my friends and I went to eat at a nearby Waffle House, and went to a gas station that had potted plants in the bathrooms. The only reason I even mention these two places, is that I put SG stickers up in both of them...
Anyway, I'm going to take a nap. My head still hurts a bit from drinking and smoking so much last night.
See ya...

And you rock thusly for thinking I do simply for the music I like, because it means you must like it too.
