I had a very nice weekend. I hope everyone else did, too.
Saturday I spent the afternoon painting a room at Daisy's aunt house, then her dad, who's a chef, made us delicious seafood gumbo. We had a good time. Of course we got primer everywhere, including my not-for-painting jeans, and eventually I was painting in my panties. Daisy and I got a bit high off the fumes, I think, and we found this immensely entertaining. It felt like the beginning of a cheesy porn, but we were missing an ugly, well-hung man. That's probably for the best, anyways.
I spent Saturday night with Sabra's pets, but my allergies wouldn't let me stay over the whole night with them. I came back home around 3 am, feeling defeated, and slept the sleep of the dead until ridiculously late. I still got to have fun, though. I went out to see Cold Mountain and had pad thai afterwards with apologies. The movie was good, with all that Civil War drama and of course a love story. There was a mountain lady with goats in the story that reminded me of my lesbian friend Liz. She lives in the North Georgia mountains with a little farm of her own, and I don't think she needs anyone. She also has a mustache. I miss her!
Anyways, it was a good night. We had a great dinner at my favorite Chinese place, and then I went to the going-away party for a doctor at my clinic. That was good, too, because everyone was tipsy and friendly. We're all friendly to each other anyways, but it's easier away from work. I am upset the doctor is leaving; she's the best one at the clinic and she caught my dog Samantha's mammary cancer early enough to treat it and keep her healthy. I'll miss her very much!
Tonight is girl-date night. More news tomorrow!

I put those pics up like I was supposed to. I also felt compelled to tack on an obscenely adorable photo of two cats with which I lived for several years. One of them looks a good bit like yours, but is probably much stupider.
